Day 01: Kathmandu (1350 m)

Arrival at Kathmandu airport, pick up by our correspondent and transfer to the hotel. (At the foot of the Himalayas, where they assure that their gods live, Nepal stands, a land of spectacular landscapes, temples and cities with a rich cultural heritage. These seem to transfer the traveler to medieval times on their walks through KATHMANDU, BHAKTAPUR and PATAN, the three urban cities that represent the backbone of the country. Stay overnight at hotel. 


Day 02: Kathmandu

Sightseeing tour to Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at Hotel. 

Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred Pilgrimage site of Hindus, and also a cremation site of bodies of Hindus.

Bouddha is the Buddhist sanctuary, here we will find largest stupa in the country, built in the fifth century is an enclosure with several monasteries of Tibetan Buddhism of different schools).

Swyambhunath is the Buddhist temple known as the monkey temple, its foundation dates back some 2000 years ago .

Kathmandu Durbar Square is built between twelfth century to the eighteenth century, here we can see a wide variety of temple and palace), Kumari Chowk (Residence of the living goddess,) Kasthamandap (Kasthamandap is an ancient wooden Temple made form a single tree).


Day 03: Kathmandu

Sightseeing tour to Changunarayan, Bhaktapur & Patan Durbar Sqare.  Overnight at Hotel.

Changu Narayan is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings and is said to be the oldest pagoda style temple in the valley built around in the 3rd century. This beautiful temple is situated at a distance of about 25 km east of Kathmandu at an elevation of about 1600m, this temple is greatly revered by the Hindus. 

Bhaktapur lies 12 km from Kathmandu city, In Bhaktapur we can see Durbar Square. Nyatapola Temple (Nyatapole is five-story pagoda temple, built in eighteenth century, with fine carved wood pillars)

Patan lies at Lalitpur district of Kathmandu  valley meaning city of the arts, beautiful city). There we will find famous temples such as Taleju Temple and Krishna Temple.


Day 04: Kathmandu

Sightseeing tour to Kirtipur,  Khokana, Bungmati, Pharping. Overnight at hotel.

Kirtipur is small town, 8km southwest of Kathmandu and situated atop a hill. Tribhuwan University, Nepal’s premier seat of education, is located at the foothills of Kirtipur. This historic town has many attractions to offer like old shrines and temples and old houses. Some of the folks are typically dressed in traditional costumes and can be spotted working on looms.

Khokana is a traditional and tiny Newari village 8km south of Kathmandu , which has its own history and has retained its tradition and culture. It is a living museum and recalls medieval times. The farming community of Newars who live here are mostly dependent on agriculture

Bungamati is another ancient Newari village that lies just a few kilometers from the busy city (Kathmandu) centre. Dating back to the 16th century this village is an important religious site.

Pharping is a village approximately thirty minutes outside Kathmandu and is surrounded by pilgrimage sites that Newari and Tibetan Buddhist, Hindu, and Hariti worshipers hold sacred.


Day 05: Arrival in Paro - Drive to Thimphu (L/D)

After arrival in Paro you have to clear the customs and immigration. We get the VISA copy and clearance letter there. Your guide will be waiting you outside the terminal building to welcome you and then you drive towards Thimpu. You can roam around the city in the evening. Stay overnight in Hotel. 


Day 06: Thimpu – Punakha (B/L/D)

After breakfast we will do the sightseeing in Thimpu at Traditional School of Arts & Crafts, Mini Zoo and Tashicho Dzong. After sightseeing we drive from Thimpu to Punakha (75 km) which takes about 3 hours. On the way we can see the beautiful views of Himalayas like: Masagang (7158m), Terigang (7060 m), Tsendagang (696m), Zongphugang (7060 m), Kangphugang (7170 m), Jejegangphugang (7158 m) and so on. On arrival we will visit the second oldest and largest dzong, “Punakha dzong” and Chime Lhakhang. We can also drive to Wangduephodrang, famous for bamboo products and stone & slate carvings. Stay overnight in Hotel.


Day 07: Punakha – Wangdue – Paro (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will roam around Punakha and then prepare to drive Paro via Wangdue. On the way we have to continue through the Douchula Pass and then continue the scenic drive to Paro. Stay overnight in Hotel.


Day 08: Paro (B/L/D)

After breakfast we will hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang) which takes around 4 hours. Then after visit National Museum, Farm House and Local Market of Paro. Stay overnight in Hotel.


Day 09: Departure (B)

After breakfast, our correspondent will come to depart you. We will transfer to airport for the departure.

 


Day 10: Arrival in Lhasa (By Flight)

Morning you will fly for about an hour over the panoramic Himalayan Ranges to the capital of Tibet. "Lhasa" .Lhasa at an altitude of 3,650 mt, is situated on the north bank of Kyichu River. Lhasa in Tibetan means "Place of the Gods", the residence of the Dalai Lama., On arrival you will be met by the local representative and transferred to your respective hotel. (60 km/ 1 hr). Full rest in the afternoon to acclimatize. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa. 


Day 11: Lhasa

After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing of Potala Palace, and Norbulinka. Potala Palace, this legendary palace built atop a single hill is synonymous with Tibet by the first foremost king Songtsen Gompa. Norbulingka meaning 'Treasure Park' covers an area of around 360000 sq. m. and is considered to be the biggest man made garden in Tibet. After sightseeing you will be transferred to hotel for your Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.  


Day 12: Lhasa

After breakfast full day sightseeing of Sera Monastery, Jokhang Monastery, Barkhor Market. Sera Monastery, 5 Kms north of Lhasa, Sera setting is one of Lhasa's prettiest monasteries. Once a community of more than 5,000 monks resided here and was virtually extinguished by the Chinese. Jokhang Temple, situated in the heart of Old Lhasa, it houses Tibet's most precious religious relic, a golden Shakyamuni Buddha which was brought as a gift by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng on the occasion of her wedding to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo. Barkhor Market place, which is the religious and social focus of Lhasa. After Sightseeing you will be transferred to hotel for your Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.  


Day 13: Lhasa

After breakfast, visit Tibetan Medical Institute. Afternoon free for shopping or other activities on your own. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.  


Day 14: Lhasa- Kathmandu (By Flight)

Transfer to airport and fly to Kathmandu. Leisure day. Stay overnight at hotel. 


Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu

Enjoy your last day on Kathmandu before departure. At your mentioned departure time our correspondent will pick you up from hotel and transfer to airport and depart you with warm hearts.
