Day 01. Delhi – Srinagar by flight

Arrival in Delhi. Assistance by an agency representative. Transfers to take the plane to Srinagar. Transfers to the Capital of Kashmir hotel. It is the summer capital between Jammu and Kashmir. Assistance by an agency representative. Transfers to the house boat. No wonder the fame this corner of Kashmir has had for centuries. For many poets it has been paradise on earth. The landscape is not for less. An immense lake flanked by gardens and surrounded by mountains. A few shikharas the traditional canoes of the lake ply slowly. We will stay in a boat house. This afternoon we will dedicate ourselves to walking and discovering the old city with its mosques and local markets. At night, dinner in a house. Accommodation according to selected category.


Day 02. Srinagar

After breakfast, departure to visit the Mongolian Gardens of Srinagar, one of the most beautiful Mongolian gardens in India. The most famous are the Shalimar and the Nishar Bagh. Due to its proximity to Pakistan and the fact that most of its population is Muslim, it makes Srinagar a city of mosques. There are so many, and at prayer times their songs intermingle creating a symphony like nothing heard in any other part of India until now. Among all the mosques, the Hazratbal mosque stands out not for its charm, but for its importance, as it houses a hair from the beard of the Prophet Mohammed as a relic. In the afternoon we will take a shikara and discover its canals, the daily life of its people, and the spectacular views from the shikara on Dal Lake. Dinner in the boat house. Day 03. Srinagar – Sonmarg – Kargil

At dawn visit the floating vegetable market in Shikhara if we coincide with a full moon the place is full of magic. Return to the house boat for breakfast. Departure by road to Kargil. The road passes through the famous scenic village of Sonmargh (2740m) (we will visit the village). We continue to ascend and cross the Zojila pass at an altitude of 3,527 meters. We will continue to Drass (the second coldest and most inhospitable place in the world). We will make a stop to rest and have some tea. Arrival in Kargi. (2710 meters). Throughout the route possibility to take photos in many places. Accommodation according to selected category.


Day 04. Kargil – Kanji – Lamayuru

Departure by road to Lamayuru. Today we have to climb three steps and this day will be tiring, but enjoying wonderful views throughout the journey. We will cross the highest pass Fotula 4108 meters. En route we will turn off at the Fatula pass, Heniskot and a detour that leads to a track crossing the gorge until we see the town of Kanji. This place is a paradise for photographers. I'm back on the road. Arrival at Lamayuru Accommodation according to selected category.


Day 05. Lamayuru – Wanla – Dha – Hanu

We will get up early to photograph the sunrise and the incredible surroundings of Lamayuru. The aartis are in the early morning and in the afternoon. Near Lamayuru there is a place called Wanla. It is a small gompa located in a spectacular site and not at all touristy. Then departure to Dha-Hanu. We will visit the last Aryan tribe in the area. "The Brukpa". A unique experience. Day 06. Hanu – Alchi – Likir – Thiksey – Leh

In the early morning free time to photograph the Brukpa tribe. Then departure to Alchi monastery, a complex of very old Buddhist temples where we can see Buddhist statues. It is not possible to photograph inside, although we will try to obtain a special permit. Next we go to the Likir monastery. This monastery was built in the 14th century. We will admire the beauty of a statue of Buddha covered in gold with about 7 and a half meters high. The monks belong to the Gelukpa order. Likir is a rural town. Here you can photograph the farmers and ranchers of the area and the women spinning the wool with which they make their clothes. Departure ahead to Thnksey the monastery. One of the most influential within the Tibetan culture. Arrival in Leh. Transfers to the hotel. Accommodation according to selected category.


Day 07. Leh

Breakfast. Acclimatization day in Leh. Short walks through the markets and rest. Accommodation according to selected category


Day 08. Leh – Hems

Departure to visit the Hemis temple, en route we will visit the Shey monastery. This 17th-century building was built as a replacement for the original 10th-century palace whose ruins can be seen further up the hill. Back then, when Shey was the capital of Ladakh, this was the home of the royal family, who later moved to Stok Palace. We continue along the Indus Valley road to end up crossing the river. Then we entered the mountains, among which our next destination was hidden: the Hemis monastery, the largest of the monasteries in Ladakh. Its buildings, from humble homes to gilded statues, dotted the rough hillsides. Return to Leh. Accommodation according to selected category


Day 09. Leh – Nubra Valley

After breakfast, exit to the Nubra Valley is about 150 kilometers north of Leh, the capital of Ladadkh. The Nubra Valley is called the valley of flowers. It is located on the ancient Silk Road to Central Asia. We will cross the highest road in the world at more than 5000 meters. It is a route with a lot of passage of cars and trucks since it is the only road that exists to reach Leh. Arrival and transfers to the hotel. Sunset in the impressive dunes, surrounded by mountains and herds of camels. Accommodation according to selected category.


Day 10. Nubra Valley – Diskit Monastery and Desert At dawn

We will take a camel and you can photograph the Hunder dunes. After breakfast we headed to the Diskit monastery. A special mention to the huge 32m tall Buddha statue. In the afternoon we will go to different towns in the area to take pictures. Accommodation according to selected category.


Day 11. Nubra Valley – Leh

After breakfast departure to Leh. Arrival and transfers to the hotel. Accommodation according to selected category.


Day 12. Leh – Delhi by flight

After breakfast departure by plane to Delhi. Transfers to the hotel. Last hours in Delhi to make a purchase or visit a building of interest or temples. At the scheduled time transfers to the international airport.
