Day 01: Arrival in Paro

After arrival in Paro airport, you have to clear the customs and immigration. We get the VISA copy and clearance letter there. Your guide will be waiting you outside the terminal building to welcome you and transfer to hotel. We will be visiting the different places like: National Museum, Paro Rinpung Dzong, Shabdrung Ngwang Namgyel. On the way back we will visit beautiful Local Market of Paro. Stay overnight at Hotel. 


Day 02: Paro – Thimphu

After breakfast in Paro we drive towards Thimpu (51 km) which takes about 2 hours. We pass thorugh the Paa Chu and Wang Chhu to reach Thimpu. After arrival, we will visit medieval monastery “Tashicho Dzong”, houses of most Government’s office with room of King’s throne. Then we visit National library, Traditional School of Arts & Crafts, Handicrafts Emporium, Memorial Chorten, Takin Sanctuary, Zilukha Nunnery, Indigenous Hospital, Heritage Museum and Zangdopelri temple. If time is available then we will also visit paper factory and other sights. Stay overnight in Hotel.


Day 03: Thimphu – Punakha

After breakfast we drive from Thimpu to Punakha (75 km) which takes about 3 hours. On the way we will halt at Dochula Pass (3080) for some time and then along the way we will enjoy the most amazing view of Eastern Himalayas. We will hike to temple built by Drukpa Kuenley lama “Chimi Lhakhang” through cultivated fields. Stay overnight in Hotel.


Day 04: Punakha

After breakfast we will drive about 7 km and hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten and then visit the second oldest and largest dzong, “Punakha dzong”. The dzong was built on 1637 A.D. We can also drive to Wangduephodrang, famous for bamboo products and stone & slate carvings. Stay overnight in Hotel.


Day 05: Punakha – Phobjikha Valley (Gangtey Phobji)

After breakfast we will drive to Phobjikha valley known as Gangety Phobji via Lawala pass. This valley is famous for the migratory black-necked cranes that make it their winter home, visit Gangtey Gompa, the Gompa lies on a small promontory overlooking the lush green valley. Stay overnight in Hotel.


Day 06 Phobjikha Valley – Paro

After breakfast we will drive towards Paro which takes about 5 hours. We will be passing via Dochula Pass (3080). At the evening we will visit around Paro or rest. Stay overnight in Hotel.


Day 07: Paro

After breakfast we will hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang) which takes around 4 hours. To reach the monastery we will have to climb up to beautiful pine forest. This is very popular cultural icon which was once tragically burned by fire on 1998th April but now it has been restored. After exploring the Monastery we return back to hotel. Stay overnight in Hotel.


Day 08: Departure

After breakfast, our correspondent will come to depart you. We will transfer to airport for the departure. Fly towards your destination.
